I just spent 1-2 hours trying to clean our Weber BBQ. We were going to put it out front with a FREE sign on it (I had already made the sign). We haven’t used it in 2+ seasons, and the propane feeder tube is blocked (prob. a bug). When I lifted the cover, there was a mouse nest inside … and a snake skin in the middle of the nest (hmmm – wonder what happened there?). Of course I tackled the yucky stuff first – the insides. Swept, scraped, and cleaned and cleaned, scraped and swept away. I used ammonia, soap and water (nasty stuff on your hands). As I was beginning the job of cleaning the outside, I decided that I didn’t want ANYONE to have this, not even for free. It would probably explode or something. So I moved it into the driveway, and Pete and I will take it to the dump sometime next week, when he’s got some free time (he’ll be gone all weekend, and has a gig tonight and hes really busy working on Tony’s live recordings making a CD of the ‘best of’. What a great way to waste a gorgeous day! Now, I’m hot sweaty and pooped. Nap time.
